The community of Tokoroa have rallied behind the two people who tested positive with Covid-19 last week.
On Sunday, there were no new confirmed cases in Tokoroa, though new information revealed that one of the positive cases had visited the Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology in the town on August 10 and 11.
Those who had been in contact with the person at the campus will be tested.
Tokoroa residents have been commenting on the local Facebook pages, sending support and aroha to the family infected by the virus.
The kindness of this small town echos Director General of Health, Dr. Ashley Bloomfield’s comments from earlier this week.
“People are not the problem here, the virus is the problem, people are the solution.”
