Art to replace old posters in efforts to brighten Palmerston North streets

A project is underway to replace old event posters with art in Palmerston North.

Before lockdowns, Palmerston North had a vibrant event calendar, often advertised through posters. The posters themselves added to the vibrancy of the central city. Now local down has prevented events, these posters are not being refreshed and are looking tatty.

Thanks to funding from the Palmerston North City Council, locals are now submitting art and photos to replace the posters. The initiative has revitalised the town centre and providing a platform for locals to showcase their artistic talents.
