An Invercargill resident is now $17.25m richer after winning Powerball first division in Wednesday’s live Lotto draw.
The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Invercargill.
The winning numbers were 23, 15, 40, 36, 29, 3, Bonus Ball 4 and Powerball 7.
The prize is made up of $17 million from Powerball first division and $250,000 from Lotto first division.
The winning tickets were sold at Flaxmere Pharmacy in Hastings, Woodham Foodmarket in Christchurch and on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.
Strike’s top prize was also won by one ticket, which took home $400,000. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Paper Plus Rotorua Central in Rotorua.

The tickets were sold in Auckland, Hamilton, Nelson, Tauranga, Te Kūiti, Tokoroa, Waikato, Whakatāne, and Wellington.
Wednesday’s winner was the seventh Powerball multi-millionaire of 2023.
The win comes weeks after a $7 million Powerball prize was won by a retired couple from Porirua who were looking forward to helping their family.
