Powerco has opened applications for its new Community Fund, aiming to support positive community projects in areas they serve.
James Kilty, Powerco’s chief executive, expressed enthusiasm about the fund aiding smaller towns and regions, which often face challenges in securing project funds. Kilty stressed that the fund aims to bring meaningful change to these communities.
The fund offers one-time financial support of up to $5,000 for initiatives within Powerco’s electricity network region. Projects benefiting from this fund should be completed within the funding year.
The current application window remains open until November 5, covering projects set for January to July 2024.
