The listed honey producer Comvita is crediting strong growth in Mānuka sales to the US and China for helping drive a return to profit.
Reported net profit after tax was $9.5 million, compared to a loss of $9.7 million in the previous year.
Revenue lifted 31 percent in China and 23 percent in the US, which helped offset material headwinds in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong markets.
Comvita is one of around 90 honey producers which rely heavily on the China and US markets for their products.
