Sir Rod Stewart is set to perform his last-ever New Zealand show at the Mission Estate Winery in Hawke’s Bay.
Stewart, 77, will first perform at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin on April 5 2023, before heading north to Napier to finish his New Zealand tour on April 8.
Stewart has played at the Mission Estate winery twice before, in 2005 and 2012.
“I’m so excited to return to your heart-stoppingly beautiful country,” he told Hawke’s Bay Today.
“The Aussies and New Zealanders share the same British sense of humour – it’s like being home.”
The Mission Concert, which has hosted many top musicians over the years, celebrates its 30th anniversary next year. The occasion will be marked by a superstar line-up – Robbie Williams (booked for two shows in November) and Sting (booked for March) are also playing in 2023.
Tickets go on sale on November 25 at 11 am for the Napier show. General admission tickets are $162.
