Isang bagong app ang nilikha sa New Zealand upang mag-alok ng mga digital na lisensya sa pagmamaneho. Tinutukoy ng Ministri ng Transportasyon at NZTA kung anong mga batas ang kailangang magkaroon para mangyari ito. Nakikipagtulungan sila sa Government Chief Digital Officer upang matiyak na ang mga digital na lisensya ay nakakatugon sa parehong pamantayan sa New Zealand at internasyonal.

Ang NZ Transport Agency App ay magiging isang ligtas na lugar kung saan maaaring ma-access ng mga driver ang lahat ng mga serbisyong kailangan nila, sabi ng Ministro ng Transportasyon na si Simeon Brown at Digitising Government Minister na si Judith Collins. Gagawing mas madali ng app para sa mga tao sa New Zealand na magbayad para sa Pagpaparehistro ng Sasakyan at Mga Charge sa Gumagamit ng Kalsada (RUC). Ipapakita rin nito kung kailan mag-expire ang Warrants of Fitness, Sasakyan Registration at RUC end distance ng mga kotse, ayon kay Brown.

Sa hinaharap, papayagan din ng app ang mga user na magbayad ng mga toll at suriin ang mga rating ng kaligtasan ng kanilang mga sasakyan. Ang paglulunsad ng app na ito ay makakatulong din sa gobyerno na magsimulang mag-alok ng mga digital na lisensya sa pagmamaneho sa New Zealand.

“Gagawing mas madali ng app na ito para sa mga tao sa New Zealand na gumamit ng mga serbisyo sa pampublikong transportasyon, na ginagawang mas maa-access ang gobyerno,” sabi ni Brown. Idinagdag ni Collins na ang digital na lisensya sa pagmamaneho ay isang malaking hakbang patungo sa gawing mas digital ang gobyerno, na hahantong sa mas mahusay na mga serbisyo at resulta para sa publiko.

Hinihikayat ni Collins ang mga driver ng New Zealand na tumulong na subukan ang bagong app. Ang kanilang feedback ay makakatulong na mapabuti ang mga serbisyo at impormasyong magagamit bago mailabas ang app sa mga app store sa mga darating na buwan. Simula Lunes, maaaring bisitahin ng mga gumagamit ang nzta.govt.nz/app upang malaman kung paano i-download ang Beta NZTA App.
