      Taranaki

      Taranaki is a coastal and mountainous region on the western side of New Zealand's North Island. Its landscape is dominated by Mount Taranaki, its namesake volcano, which lies within the rainforested Egmont National Park.

      The port city of New Plymouth is the area's cultural and commercial hub. Taranaki's economy is diverse and includes dairy, oil and gas. The region is the highest contributor or national GDP per capita. 

      Wellington

      The region's only city Invercargill offers a relaxed pace of life with wide streets, little traffic, spacious parks and gardens, striking Victorian and Edwardian architecture and impressive sporting facilities including New Zealand’s first indoor velodrome. Southland's location is such that views of Aurora Australis or the Southern Lights are common.

선출된 회원

선출된 회원은 평의회의 정책과 방향을 설정하고, 세칙을 제정하고, 규제 역할을 맡으며, 시의회의 지출 및 자금 요구 사항을 결정하고, 조직의 성과를 모니터링하고, 지역 외부에서 지구의 이익을 대변하고, 최고 경영자를 고용하며, 최고 경영자를 고용합니다.

시장은 선거구 전체에서 선출되며, 시의회 회의 주재, 지역사회의 이익 증진 및 대변, 의례적인 시의회 의장 역할 수행, 선출된 다른 구성원에게 리더십 및 피드백 제공 등의 추가 책임을 맡습니다.

조직

평의회가 참여하는 활동의 범위는 크고 종종 문제가 고도로 기술적이거나 복잡한 경우가 많기 때문에 시의회는 최고 경영자를 임명하고, 최고 경영자는 다시 지역 사회를 대신하여 위원회가 수행하는 활동을 수행할 다양한 숙련된 직원을 임명합니다.
