In the Hastings District there are four council-run indoor and outdoor pools for you to play, exercise, train and learn to swim.
Flaxmere Pool
Open year-round, Flaxmere Pool is a two-pool, heated indoor complex located in the heart of Flaxmere.
With its 25-metre training pool and 15-metre learn to swim pool, Flaxmere Pool offers a range of options to suit all interests including excellent learn to swim, AquaFit and competitive swimming programmes.
The home of the Heretaunga Sundevils Swimming Club, the complex is also a base for regional swim and canoe polo meets.

Please note there is limited lane availability for public swimming 3.30pm – 5.30pm Monday – Friday, and 8.30am-11.30am on Saturday due to Learn to Swim during term time. On Fridays the pool is closed 7am – 9am for vacuuming.

Clive War Memorial Pool
Open year-round, the Clive War Memorial Pool is a two-pool, heated indoor complex located in Farndon Park on the edge of the Clive River.
The complex features a 25-metre training pool and 15 metre learn to swim pool, superb learn to swim classes and dedicated lanes for water play and lap swimming. If you prefer to work out with others, our AquaFit classes cater for all fitness levels.
A base for the Trojan Swim Club, Waimarama Surf Club and Hawke’s Bay Canoe Polo, Clive Pool is also used for school learn to swim and water safety classes.

Please note there is limited space available for lane swimming 6am – 8am weekdays, and no public swimming 3.30pm – 5.30pm due to Learn to Swim and Squads during term time. The Learner Pool is closed to the public 9am – 11am and 3.30pm – 5.30pm Monday – Friday, and 9am – 12.15pm on Saturday during term time.

Village Pool – Havelock North
Village Pool is a four-pool outdoor complex located in the Havelock North Village Green.
Open during the summer months, the four-pool complex includes a 33-metre pool with dedicated lanes for lap swimming; a toddlers pools; learners pools; and two-metre deep pool in a securely fenced-off area.
The main pool and 2m deep pools are heated to 24 degrees, while the learners and toddlers pools are warmer at 27 degrees.

Frimley Pool
Frimley Pool is a three-pool outdoor complex located next to Frimley Park.
Open during the summer months, Frimley Pool features Hawke’s Bay’s only 50-metre pool with adjacent grandstand; as well as a learner and toddler pool.
