Swimming Pools

The Waikato district boasts three community swimming pools located in Ngaruawahia, Huntly, and Tuakau.

Ngaruawahia Swimming Pool

    The pool’s opening dates and hours are as follows:

  • 3-18 December: Weekdays 3pm-6pm; weekends 12pm-6pm
  • 19-23 December: Weekdays and weekends 12pm-6pm
  • 24 December: 12pm-3pm
  • 25 December: CLOSED
  • 26 December: CLOSED
  • 27-30 December: Weekdays and weekends 12pm-6pm
  • 31 December: 12pm-3pm
  • 1 January: CLOSED
  • 2 January: CLOSED
  • 3-29 January: Weekdays and weekends 12pm-6pm
  • 30 January – 2 February: Weekdays 3pm-6pm; weekends 12pm-6pm (unless school booking)
  • 4 February – 26 March: Weekdays 3pm-6pm; weekends 12pm-6pm (unless school booking)
    The entry fees for Ngaruawahia Swimming Pool are as follows:

  • Children: $1.50
  • Students/Seniors: $1.00
  • Adults: $2.50
  • Spectators: $1.00
  • Children aged 3 and under accompanied by an adult: Free of charge
  • Supervising adult of a child 3 and under: $1.00

Huntly Aquatic Centre is an indoor facility with a lap pool and a learner and toddler’s pool. There is also an outdoor picnic area available.

    Huntly Aquatic Centre’s opening hours are:

  • Monday – Friday: 6:30am – 7pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9am – 5pm
    The entry fees for Huntly Aquatic Centre are as follows:

  • Children: $2.50
  • Students/Seniors: $3.00
  • Adults: $4.50
  • Spectators: $2.00
  • Children aged 3 and under accompanied by an adult: Free of charge
  • Supervising adult of a child 3 and under: $2.00
  • One lane hire charge: $27.00/hour
  • Swimming groups, schools, and special users groups for the toddler’s pool or bulkhead pool: $32.00/hour

Tuakau – Centennial Pool
