Welcome to the Waikato District Library, where we offer a range of services and facilities to enhance your reading and learning experiences. Here’s what you need to know:

Library Locations and Hours:

Huntly Library – 142 Main Street, Huntly – Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, Saturday 9:30 am – 12:30pm.

Meremere Library – Heather Green Avenue, Meremere – Opening hours: Monday 9am-12pm, Wednesday 2pm – 5pm, Friday 9am-5pm.

Ngaruawahia Library – 4 Jesmond Street, Ngaruawahia, Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, Saturday 9:30am – 12:30

Raglan Library – 7 Bow Street, Ragland – Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, Saturday 9:30 am – 12:30pm.

Te Kauwhata Library – 1 Main Road, Te Kauwhata – Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, Saturday 9:30 am – 12:30pm.

Tuakau Library – 72 George Street, Tuakau – Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, Saturday 9:30 am – 12:30pm.

Reduced Hours:

During public holidays, the library may operate on reduced hours. Please check our website or contact your local library for details.

Who can use the library?

Our library services are open to everyone in the community. We offer a range of materials and resources for all age groups, including books, magazines, audiobooks, e-books, and e-resources.

How to become a member:

Becoming a member of the Waikato District Library is easy and free. You can visit any of our six library locations and fill out an application form, or sign up online through our website. Once you become a member, you’ll have access to all of our services and resources.
