KiWirail의 두 개의 새로운 인터아일랜더 페리를 위한 프로젝트가 진행 중이며, 운영자는 한국 조선소에서 건설할 의도의 서신을 서명하고 있습니다.

KiWiRail 최고 경영자 인 그렉 밀러 (Greg Miller) 는 울산의 남동부 도시에 위치한 현대 미포 조선소 선정 결정이 1 년 동안 선발 과정을 거쳐 나왔다고 밝혔다.

밀러는 성명서에서 “KiWiRail은 작년 8 월에 관심있는 표현을 처음 모색 한 이래로 열심히 노력해 왔습니다.

두 개의 새로운 페리는 키위레일의 세 가지 노후된 인터아일랜더 페리를 대체할 것이며, 이 페리는 삶의 끝에 가까워지고 있습니다.

엔진, 추진 시스템 및 내비게이션 시스템은 주로 미국과 유럽으로 지정되었습니다.

기술 및 상업 협상 단계 이후 밀러는 2021 년 중반에 서명 한 최종 조선 계약과 2022 년 후반까지 페리 건설을 목표로한다고 말했다.

뉴질랜드가 새로운 목적의 페리를 선보인 지 20년이 넘었습니다.

KiWiRail에 따르면 새로운 페리는 2030년까지 탄소 배출량을 30% 줄이고 2050년까지 탄소 중성이라는 목표를 뒷받침할 것입니다.
