전설적인 90년대 영국 밴드 오아시스는 10여 년 전에 헤어졌고, 끊임없는 재결합 소문에도 불구하고 밴드 멤버인 리암과 노엘 갤러거 형제 사이에 휴전의 조짐은 없는 것 같습니다.

하지만 그렇다고 해서 한 그룹의 뮤지션들이 AI 기술을 이용해 오아시스 국기를 게양하려는 시도를 막지는 못했습니다.

가디언 (Guardian) 이 보도한 바와 같이, 오아시스 재결합을 기다리는 데 지친 영국 밴드 브리저의 멤버들은 인공 지능을 사용하여 자신만의 오아시스 앨범을 만들었습니다.

그 결과 1995년부터 1997년까지 전성기 시절의 오아시스 스타일로 완성된 30분 8곡의 믹스테이프가 탄생했습니다.밴드 이름은 AIS입니다.리암 갤러거의 원더월이 뉴질랜드 관중을 열광에 빠뜨리다 * 오클랜드에서 리암 갤러거와 함께 보낸 하룻밤 (일종의) * 인공 지능을 이용해 최신 뮤직 비디오를 만든 뉴플리머스 밴드 * 리암 갤러거는 노엘 형제와 휴전을 선언했음에도 불구하고 오아시스 재회를 배제했습니다.

가사와 음악은 브리저가 작사 및 녹음했지만, 리엄의 트레이드마크인 “hellooooos”와 “sun-shiiiines”가 들어간 리암 갤러거 사운드의 보컬은 모두 AI를 사용하여 만들어졌습니다.

브리저 가수 바비 게러티 (Bobby Geraghty) 는 로스트 테이프 볼륨 I이라는 앨범을 만들기 위해 리암의 다양한 아카펠라 녹음을 잘라서 AI가 그의 목소리를 모방하도록 훈련시켰다고 말합니다.

보컬은 100% AI로 생성되지만 Geraghty는 AI가 처음부터 아티스트 스타일로 노래를 쓸 수 있을지 말하기에는 너무 이르다고 말합니다.

지난 주말 Drake와 The Weeknd라고 주장하는 AI 제작 노래가 스트리밍 서비스에서 삭제되면서 음악 분야의 AI가 빠르게 큰 이슈가 되고 있습니다.

리암 자신이 AIIS를 원하느냐는 질문에 게러티는 이렇게 말합니다. “자신이 아니기 때문에 AIIS를 정말 싫어할 거예요.
