화요일 아침에는 남섬과 북섬 중부/동부의 많은 지역에서 서리가 내릴 것입니다.크라이스트처치는 영하 4°C가 예상되므로 도시 거주자들은 매우 추운 날씨에 대비해야 합니다.

오포티키 인근의 2번 주 고속도로는 와이오타헤 해변 (Waiotahe Beach) 에서 큰 미끄러짐으로 인해 폐쇄되었습니다.교통국은 미끄러짐이 아직 움직이고 있어 수리가 안전하지 않다고 보고했다.청소를 시작하기 전에 위험한 포후투카와 나무를 제거해야 합니다.수목 재배자들은 화요일 아침에 이 작업을 시작할 것입니다.

오피키의 56번 주 고속도로도 홍수로 인해 폐쇄되었으며 화요일 오후 늦게 재통될 예정입니다.53번 주 고속도로는 와이라라파의 와이헨가 다리 근처에서 강 수위가 너무 높아 밤새 통행이 중단되었습니다.

수요일이 되면 햇살이 내리쬐면 대부분의 지역에서 고기압 시스템이 더워져 추위를 피할 수 있을 것입니다.하지만 목요일에는 남섬에 다시 바람과 비가 내리고 금요일과 토요일에는 북섬으로 다시 불어올 것으로 예상됩니다.

메트서비스 기상학자 Mmathapelo Makgabutlane은 “요요 날씨가 절정이다”고 말했다.
