South Waikato have several community halls and venues across the district that are available for hire. The South Waikato Sport and Events Centre is our premier sport and functions facility.
South Waikato Sport and Event Centre
The South Waikato Sport and Events Centre is a multi-purpose facility located in Tokoroa. It offers two courts, four-team changing rooms, two function rooms, kitchen and informal mix-and-mingle spaces. The Event Centre is an excellent facility for a wide variety of events from business meetings, sporting events to private functions. The staff are more than happy to help tailor a package to meet your individual needs.

The Plaza Putaruru
The Plaza is the flagship centre for the performing arts and cultural activities in the district, but also functions as a gathering place for the local community. The Plaza hosts a diverse range of events, from The New Zealand Ballet and Opera to movies and local dance competitions.
