Scion senior scientist Dr Grace Villamor ay isa sa 34 bagong mukha sa Te Pūnaha Matatini, sumali sa organisasyon bilang isang punong investigator para sa susunod na tatlong taon.

Ang Matatini Matatini ay ang Aotearoa New Zealand Center of Research Excellence (CORE) para sa mga kumplikadong sistema na pinagsasama-sama ng isang pamayanan ng mga mananaliksik mula sa mga institusyong tersiyaryo, mga instituto ng gobyerno, pribadong sektor, at mga komunidad ng marae upang malutas ang ilan sa mga pinaka-kumplikado at kritikal na isyu ng ating bansa.

Mahigit sa 60 mga aplikasyon para sa mga bagong investigator ang nasuri ng panel ng pagsusuri ng investigator.

Sasali si Villamor sa halos 100 iba pang mga punong investigator na bumubuo ng mga diskarte na nagbibigay-daan sa mas mahusay na paggawa ng desisyon tungkol sa kapaligiran, ekonomiya, at lipunan ng New Zealand.

Sinabi ni Dr Villamor na ang NAP ay nagha-highlight kung paano maaaring umangkop ang New Zealand sa pagbabago ng klima, ngunit kailangan ng mas maraming trabaho.

Bilang isang punong imbestigador, nakikilahok siya sa mga programa sa pananaliksik, pagpupulong, at workshop ng Te Pūnaha Matatini – na may partikular na pagtuon sa kanyang mga interes sa pananaliksik.
