타우랑가 셰익스피어 페스티벌은 CRAFT 매니지먼트 자선 신탁의 지원 덕분에 4월 21일 일요일에 돌아올 예정입니다.히스토릭 빌리지 (The Historic Village) 에서 열리는 이 페스티벌은 종일 진행되며 셰익스피어와 중세 시대의 다양한 활동을 포함합니다.행사는 무료로 참석할 수 있습니다.

이 페스티벌은 원래 셰익스피어 공연을 커뮤니티에 다시 알리고 협업의 기회를 제공하기 위해 만들어졌습니다.크리에이티브 디렉터 해리 오람 (Harry Oram) 은 이번 페스티벌이 코로나19 팬데믹으로 인해 여름철 전통 셰익스피어 공연이 취소되면서 남겨진 문화적, 교육적 공백을 메우려는 바람에서 영감을 얻었다고 말합니다.

오람은 이번 페스티벌이 클래식 문학 및 라이브 극장과 커뮤니티의 관계를 다시 불러일으킬 수 있는 기회라고 말했다.또한 셰익스피어 스토리텔링에 새로운 재능과 혁신적인 접근법을 소개할 기회도 제공합니다.

페스티벌 방문객들은 셰익스피어 쇼를 관람하고, 엘리자베스 시대의 음악을 듣고, 영화와 연극을 위해 안무된 싸움을 관람할 수 있습니다.체험해 볼 수 있는 공예품과 액티비티도 준비되어 있습니다.

타우랑가 웨스턴 베이 커뮤니티 이벤트 펀드는 페스티벌을 지원하고 누구나 입장료 없이 축제를 관람할 수 있도록 하기 위해 7,500달러의 커뮤니티 이벤트 보조금을 제공했습니다.이 기금은 지역 후원자인 Acorn Foundation, BayTrust, TECT, 타우랑가 시의회 및 웨스턴 베이 오브 플렌티 지구 의회가 파트너십을 맺고 있습니다. 주요 목표는 커뮤니티 주도 행사와 무료 또는 저렴한 비용으로 참여를 장려하는 행사를 지원하는 것입니다.

또한 올해 페스티벌에는 16번가 극장과 파트너십을 맺고 4월 15일부터 23일까지 맥베스를 선보일 예정이다.이번 쇼에는 16번가 극장의 역대 최대 출연진 중 한 명이 출연할 예정입니다.

타우랑가 셰익스피어 페스티벌은 2024년 4월 21일 일요일, 타우랑가 3143의 타우랑가 사우스 17번 애비뉴 웨스트 159 히스토릭 빌리지에서 개최됩니다.페스티벌에는 메이폴 댄싱, 다양한 셰익스피어 및 중세 노점, 게임, 양궁 및 도끼 던지기, 시 워크숍, “셰익스피어 인 러브 (Shakespeare in Love)” 상영, 독백 대회와 같은 활동이 포함됩니다.
