지난 3월, 주디스 콜린스 뉴질랜드 국방우주부 장관은 미국 AUKUS 대사와의 회담을 앞두고 브리핑을 받았습니다.미국은 우주를 포함한 다양한 분쟁 지역에서 동맹 및 파트너와 함께 모든 국가 권력 수단을 사용하는 ‘통합 억지력’을 사용할 계획입니다.

뉴질랜드는 현재 “지상 기반 우주 인프라”와 “우주 효과에 대한 접근성 강화”를 고려하고 있습니다.곧 내각에 제출될 예정인 뉴질랜드의 새로운 방위력 계획은 집단적 안보 문제를 해결하기 위해 국제 안보 파트너들과 협력하는 것을 강조하고 있습니다.향후 15년 동안 NZDF는 더 자주, 더 다양한 상황에 배치될 것으로 예상됩니다.
