GPに登録する場合

地域のお医者さんに登録すると、お金の節約になり、あなたとあなたの家族の健康維持に役立ちます。登録は簡単で、費用もかからず、あなたやあなたの家族、そして地域社会に利益をもたらします。登録すると、通常の医師の診察料が安くなり、医師が処方する補助金付きの薬1つにつきたった5ドル支払うだけです。これに加えて:

  • 主治医の診療所では、子宮頸がん検診や乳がん検診などの予防プログラムへの参加を支援したり、子どもの予防接種のお知らせを送付したりしています。
  • また、糖尿病や高血圧などの症状を管理したり、喫煙などの健康上の問題に対処したりして、健康的なライフスタイルの実現をサポートします。

医師とは何年も付き合うことになるでしょうから、安心して任せられる医師や診療所を選ぶとよいでしょう。その際には、診療報酬についても確認しておきましょう。

誰が登録できますか?

あなたがニュージーランドの市民または居住者であれば、公的資金で運営されているあらゆる医療および障害者向けサービスを受けることができます。また、レジデンスクラスのビザをお持ちの方、ニュージーランドに2年以上連続して滞在できるワークビザをお持ちの方、ニュージーランドに2年以上滞在しているオーストラリア市民または永住権をお持ちの方も対象となります。外国人学生は登録できませんので、必ず医療保険に加入してください。

登録する資格がない場合でも、その一般診療所の非登録患者として医師に登録すると便利です。登録したからといって、診察料が安くなったり、薬代が補助されたりするわけではありませんが、登録することで、自分や家族のニーズをサポートしてくれるかかりつけ医との関係を築くことができるなど、登録することで得られる他のメリットがあります。

登録するには?

対象者であれば、登録は簡単で、無料です。加入手続きには3ヶ月ほどかかる場合がありますので、健康な方でも今すぐ加入されることをお勧めします。希望する医療機関に連絡して、患者を受け付けているかどうか聞いてみましょう。加入の際には、身分証明書や医療記録の提出を求められたら、それを持参してください。一般診療所を変更する場合は、登録用紙の記入が完了した時点で、医療記録が新しい診療所に移されます。
