差別、ハラスメント、不当な警告、安全衛生上の問題、休日、契約、給与に関する問題、その他の最低限度の権利や従業員協定の違反などを理由に、雇用主に対して苦情を申し立てることができます。職場で懲戒処分を受けた場合は、警告を書面で受け取り、警告を受けた理由を十分に理解するようにしてください。

最初の一歩を踏み出す

代替案

また、労働監督署に問い合わせることもできます。労働監督官は、職場での法的権利を調査し、不当または危険な行為に関する報告書を提出することができます。事故から90日以内に苦情を登録した場合は、雇用関係当局(Employment Relations Authority:ERA)に連絡することができます。ERAは政府のサービスで、苦情についてのアドバイスをしてくれ、苦情が深刻だと判断された場合には、雇用裁判所での裁判を起こすことができます。ERAはまず調停を指してくる可能性が高いので、最後の手段として利用するといいでしょう。

法律的なアドバイスが必要な場合は、地域の法律相談所が無料でアドバイスを提供し、雇用弁護士との面談を手配することもできます。裁判所で苦情を解決できると判断された場合は、あなたの代理人を務めることもできます。
